Amazon author case study

In a Market with 800,000 competing listings & a fading interest of recreational readers. How do you still sell paperback novels in a competitive & fading market?

Notes on this case study: I love reading Sharron Carpenter books on Amazon I really do. She is a very poetic writer, with old time, relate-able characters. However from a marketing standpoint lets call books what they really are… They are a low demand, entertainment product. If you are an obscure author chances are your marketing & public relations campaigns won’t break even, but they might break your obscurity.

Highlights of the pitch: I encouraged a mix of PR, Community engagement & Social media advertising. Nothing too overwhelming but sustainable marketing for the client. It worries me when writers do not write actively, do not generate attention & release their books very slowly. In this modern market you should probably be releasing 4 books a year, just took keep up.

Continuing: I want to work on this case more with my brothers Matt & Tiernan. However I realize the pitch in this document is more idealistic than executable.
