Ashton Deroy’s Beach Body & Max 30 Review

Ugly side of Beach Body .png

Beach Body.png

Ashton Deroy Writes: I have gone on record body shaming, speaking in disgust about people who don’t workout and making a parody of our nation’s obesity issue. My views on weight have drastically changed since then…

As you can tell this content is about the Beach Body Max 30 program. So what are the wonderful side effects from doing a month of this program?

  1. Way too much work on my legs. I feel like half the weight I lost was in my legs.
  2. I can’t wake up in the morning, My muscles literally hurt too much to get out of bed.
  3. I have no sex drive, I believe that is a result of the program’s over intensity.

Beach body is dangerous.png

The video above discusses some other problems like the expensive nutritional products, the multi-level marketing setup of the company and the fact the videos are sped up!

What are other people saying about Beach Body Programs?

Beach Body is a scam, Ethan Vanderbilt suggests that you will never make the money back from your initial investment. The Business opportunity is that you get a company website duplicate that you sell products for them on. “Why do you have to pay to sell for Beach Body?” Ethan says. Plus you are not really qualified to be a coach of fitness & weight loss because they go to through no qualified athletic or dietary training.

Team Beach Body employees on Average make less than minimum wage.

Better Business Bureau Complaints

Beatter Business Bureau Complaint.png

Leigh joined up just to be a customer, not even to try & get a wage but she was still pissed about how they went about her cancellation & refund.

Kim S..png

So Kim canceled & was still getting charged. AKA she was being robbed in lamens terms and the company was not claiming responsibility from the customer service end as they should of. For those who don’t know… You can cancel most web subscriptions now by clicking a button. That is what I did when I canceled my porn membership!

Deception

Sharon was deceptively charged by the company which any first-year Business student can tell you directly violate the competition act here in Canada. She may have also been baited with one offer and then they proceeded to charge on another offer which legally is a Bait & switch.

Commentary on findings.

Obviously, a Multi Level Marketing company is going to have a lot of negative findings on their poor business practices. They are a business that runs 100% off of an unethical business practice!

Why is no one negatively commenting on the exercise programs? They are military style exercises grandma could do eh! I’d tell Grandma to stick to her 1980’s Jane Fonda DVDs.

The workout videos are too intense, they don’t have proper regulatory warnings, the after effects are tremendous pain. Also, you are told you can do these workout videos alone right… Well, what about someone checking your posture? Poor posture during exercises leads to back issues, joint pain and long-term injuries that can take years off of your life.

Like I said executing these videos has had adverse effects on my health. In the end, I think you should save your money. Do workout videos on YouTube & don’t pay for these dangerous videos!

The validity of Content Marketing & website information systems.

Seneca Library Macy's case study.png

If you were ever curious about who helped Macy find their digital marketing success for 2015. Look no further than Madras, the company has basically validated the effectiveness with their results for the digital marketing campaign for Macy’s in the United States and why it is important for a company to outsource  (hire external from the company)  digital marketing jobs. Why does this excite me? It validates Marketing beyond just sales generation.

The Marketing agency executed the web listings for 300,000 products, executed delivery of 3,000 creative units, managed 100,000 assets on Macys.com CMS and maintained 15,000 search engine landing pages. This information proves the importance of setting up website information systems opposed to website advertising systems which only record short bits of information to generate quick sales or lead foot traffic to a store.

“Macy’s Case Study.” Seneca Libraries. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 May 2017. <Seneca Libraries database>. Macy’s Case study reveals results for their Content Management system campaign, digital marketing & digital selling. The article discusses how through the Content management campaign they were able to get 15,000 pieces of Macy’s content indexed in search engines. Basically, Madras took the brand from the digital perspective and made it a high functioning machine for their digital channels including social media, website blog, Search engine indexes & video content.

Perceptual map of the cosmetics industry.

Perceptual map of makeup industry.png

Written by Diana Skye

This is a perceptual map of popular beauty brands. The further to the right a brand is, the higher the quality of their products. The higher up a brand is, the more expensive they are.

Bottom Left: Wallet-friendly brands with low-quality products

Elf: One of the least expensive makeup brands. While they have some good products, the quality is very hit and miss. I have bad experiences with their eye shadow and brushes. However, I did like the brow kit.

Colourpop: An online-only brand made popular by social media. I have not tried them but seen many reviews on their products. Their first launch of matte liquid lipsticks got very negative reviews, being compared to nail polish on your lips. On the other hand, the satin liquid lipsticks were well received.

Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VCF40kxhJo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrhcu6sVAGQ

Coastal Scents: They started out making large eye shadow palettes, but have since branched out into other products. I used the shimmer palette several years ago. While I liked the variety of shades, some colors worked better than others. Also, there was a lot of glitter fallout.

Bottom Right: Wallet-friendly brands with high-quality products

Wet N Wild: Not only is Wet N Wild very affordable, the quality is comparable to high-end brands. I always say that if you need an inexpensive neutral palette, get Comfort Zone. It has eight high-quality shadows for less than $5. Their lip and cheek products are also very good.

Nyx: Nyx has one of the best color selections I have seen for eye and lip products. I am seldom disappointed by what I try from them. They have expanded quite a bit as there are now Nyx stores in Canada.

Top Left: High-end brands with low-quality products

Kylie Cosmetics: I refuse to buy from Kylie Cosmetics and not just because I dislike the Kardashians. They are owned by the same brand as Colourpop. The lip kits are very similar, but more than double the price. Also, they have had issues with quality control, such as nearly empty liquid lipsticks.

Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfJS4AeesAU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxZGf4WoZew

Too Faced: While Too Faced used to be one of my favorite brands, the quality has gone downhill in the past year and a half. The peach line is very inconsistent and a brow product was released in only two shades. The last new release I enjoyed was the Bon Bon’s palette.

Top right: High-end brands with high-quality products

Pixi: Pixi specializes in high-quality natural products. In addition to makeup, there are a lot of skin care products. While it’s available at Target or Shoppers Drug Mart, the prices are higher than drugstore brands. However, I would recommend their skin care to anyone who does not want to splurge on brands at Sephora.

Urban Decay: My first high-end purchase was from Urban Decay and I have loved them every since. Their palettes are well loved for a good reason since they have one of the best eyeshadow formulas. They also make my favorite face highlighter and have over a hundred shades of lipstick.

Kat Von D beauty: This brand was started by the artist of the same name. I have yet to buy a product I dislike from Kat Von D beauty. While the products are expensive, I feel they are worth the money. The liquid lipsticks are my favorite formula.

Written by Ashton Deroy: In the new era of attempting to find marketability for websites, apps and software applications. Developers often try to make application, website or their service have nothing to do with the people involved.

1. What are the 4 I’s of service? Intangibility, Inconsistency, Inseparability and Inventory.

People have everything to do with your business! Stop taking them out of the process. In purchasing. Emotions, perceptions and beliefs never stop mattering.

Three things users hate when they arrive to a website:

  • They can’t find a public profile for the person they just talked to – This shows this person has no authority within the company and therefore does not matter.  People are more aware of the Power distant index and working for Rogers Communications customers realized if they didn’t want to do a simple transaction process, add services or troubleshoot tech. I had no authority.
  • You can’t find information on the company authority – A customer can’t find the boss because the boss doesn’t want to talk to them! This still works for bigger companies but in smaller companies the boss needs to be available at the user’s beckon call.
  • Comprehensive information on background, mission and history – Why does this venture exist? What is the purpose? What is the owner’s history prior to starting this venture? Chances are that is all the information needed for traffic to make their mind up towards making a purchasing decision.

20 Reasons Publishing strategies are better for boosting brands.

  1. Behavioral target segmentation – You want to sell fishing gear? You create a fishing blog, magazine or forum.
  2. Readers become customers – First they read your work, then they trust your authority lastly they go to you with a problem. That is how I was able to get Dignity Repairs as a client in 2015.
  3. Editorials create a press interest – Every-time you post a blog there is chance someone picks it up, finds it interesting and then next thing you know, a brand has impressions on blogs, news outlets and radio stations. Refer to my ex clients’ BBC interview on the third gender in beyond the binary.
  4. Viral effect – The internet now has a way of spreading brand impressions on the web even out of a community manager’s control.  In other words going viral! 🙂
  5. Indexing -Customers are looking for someone like you! With Canada 411 if you are a restaurant, web developer or driving taxi. You need to be indexed so you can convert customers right from your listing.
  6. Informational strategies – With Publishing all the information needed to make a purchase decision is put up in to a convenient area on the web.
  7. Growing contacts – Every-time someone likes an ad on Facebook the company receives their contact information which is good for potentially prospecting leads
  8. Integrated Marketing Communications – A Publicist creates a consistency for every element in the promotional mix to make sure everything is done in an effort to maximize campaign efforts and meet the goals with the key performance indicators.
  9. Primary research acquired – Through 13 blogs I’ve been able to figure out, how to generate web traffic? How to sell using web content? What makes your audience bounce off a website? What makes them stay?
  10. Tags research – A good Publicists looks at tags, measures their engagement and looks at who is saying what.
  11. Knowing where to be and when to announce it – In Kingston, Kingston Pride competed with a variety of gay events businesses. Rather than being exactly everywhere the competitors were, we decided to take to the strategy of being louder. More social media ads, an external web promotion and print/radio publications our competitors could not use.
  12. Telling the story – Why do you pay writers Ashton? Well that is because writers know how to tell you about a business launch, product/service expansion or event and make it interesting! The worst content creator you can acquire is someone who only has a Business or Advertising background. They usually know nothing about creating high traffic content.
  13. Establishing authority – Not just through text and alerting people to your certifications. There are certain ways to set up a website that show authority and other ways which make you look like you are blogging out of a basement.
  14. Managing conversations – It is not enough to post content in tags, you actually have to engage with people in the tags. A publisher does that.
  15. Establishing relationships with influential members of the community
  16. Accessing a Publishers’ personal contacts. Some are linked to famous YouTube channels, News papers and marketing channels that you wouldn’t have access to other wise.
  17. Content scheduling – The reason why Publishers want a brand to post constantly is to avoid becoming invisible. It takes 24 hours for a brand to go mute in today’s online market.
  18. Analyzing Marketing dashboards – Looking at Key Performance indicators for a marketing campaign and determining why factors were high or weren’t.
  19. Creating the brand – The best hot brands are created with a publishing strategy in mind
  20. High Traffic channel management – We manage the contacts of Facebook, Instagram, Google, Websites and Press.

Why I hate crappy web designer apps like Wixx & WebFlow

WebFlow.png

Ashton Deroy, is a web Marketing expert who attends Seneca College for Business & Marketing. He is a graduate of St. Lawrence College’s interactive Marketing program and Loyalist College’s Creative Advertising program.

Ashton Deroy Writes:

Okay yes hiring engineers to do websites unless you are willing to spend $1000+ is garbage. I still hate these services like Webflow and WIXX! Why do I hate them? These services target average users, who create bad looking projects and who are never properly trained to use the software to its optimum use!

Why do I hate them? it is because of this idealization “Lets give morons the capability to be designers. then let them execute a sloppy ass website that won’t meet their promotion objectives, won’t meet their goals and oh yeah not a single person will consult with them who is an expert making the website stupid as hell!”

Then there is more dumb shit that comes from these software tools as well. Not only do you get morons making lame ass websites, they also miss the following essential features for executing web marketing campaigns.

  • Marketing dashboard- Where do you measure your key performance indicators? Where are you going to measure website bounce, what content is attracting traffic versus really bad content. All blogs should be setup on WordPress for the dashboard alone.
• Social media integration – Sharing options for posts to Facebook. Calls to action to increase social media followings and a funnel for potential leads.
  • Lead retrieval
  • SEO writing tools (Most stupid over priced websites are missing this)
  • Tag use – Where is the conversation happening? A Tag is like your Walkies talkie channel. You choose a frequency where your messaging can occur.
  • Traffic generation strategy– People set up these design websites that are stationary in traffic and think they will make them money. The idea is stupid as hell! Websites generate their traffic  from Social media, Search engines and printed promotion.

Why I use WordPress

I used to use a dumb ass engineer named Rick Wirthlin! The guy had no people skills and I was worse off pay $500 for one of his websites than paying $460 for one of my own.

Why do I use WordPress?

  • Informational website setups
  • Built in traffic system
  • Tags to have conversations in
  • The SEO Writing tool
  • WordPress websites rank higher than customs
  • Attracting Press attention
  • Easy E Commerce integration
  • All the tools I need for website operation in one convenient place.

Promotional selling

Promotional Selling.png

Ashton Deroy writes: While studying chapter 17 of McGraw Hill’s Marketing Connect. I was taking notes on sales promotion methods and I thought I might write a blog on my experience in this industry.

Back in 2015, a classmate at Loyalist College said to me, “You would be great in sales promotion.” What I didn’t realize was at the time this actually meant. “You would be great in low-paying roles that back execution of campaigns but not actually strategizing them.”

So over the years, I worked sales promotion campaigns for Dove, Shaw Cable, Rogers Communications, T-Mobile, and my own B2B campaigns on Facebook.

Strengths to using sales promotional reps: Friendly faces, higher persuasion rate, Voices register more with the brain than print. Consumers sometimes don’t mind chitchatting in stores they are already in!  On T-Mobile we had advertisements promote the B2B deals and my role was just to activate SIM Cards. That type of strategy is much more effective than telemarketing.

Weaknesses of Sales promotion reps: It instills a culture of everyone’s will can be bent to a product. In the cases of Shaw Cable & Rogers Communications using Telemarketing through S&P Data actually caused a bit of un-calculated, unrecorded statistics on brand damage.

Below are the chapter 17 notes of Marketing Connect. Download the PDF by clicking the text below:

Don’t forget aggressive sales strategy in developing a successful Mobile App company.

Hi I am Ashton Deroy from http://www.Toronto-Businessphere.com , Lets remember that app development is a free-market trade. So yes you can do this through your company but so can some kid in his basement on a Windows 7 computer he got as a hand me down and some crappy early version IPhone.

What you ultimately need to set you apart is a solid marketing strategy, up to date blog content.

Which I saw here in the Toronto tag on WordPress so good for you appdevelopmenttorontoblog. Lastly you have to put a face to the company.

You can’t just have desktop shots and screenshots of your app, because no one cares! You need a persona to run the show. Preferably an attractive male or female that consumers can really get behind.

People connect to your customer emotionally, persuade them into decision making and provide validity to your product. There is a noticeable difference between companies that hire brand ambassadors for marketing than companies that just take screenshots for a website.

I am Ashton Deroy from the Toronto-Businessphere. This was my daily Marketing comment.

Beaut.caThreats & Weaknesses to the Beaut.ca web app development team. When  Ashton Deroy worked for Beaut this was a disorganized nightmare project by some hair dresser who worked with too much bleach if you ask me. Kim Ng is a whacko, with a government grant! No sales plan, all infrastructure past 6 months of project runtime. She clearly just wants to use the government grant than abandon the project…

Weaknesses: No idea who runs the website initially, no idea what extra the beaut team brings to you. The website is constantly down due to a poor choice for independent web hosting. The project is just awful!

Threats: Obscurity due to a lack of marketing.

Strengths: Team personas presented, SEO presence due to sophisticated web software. (Much more sophisticated than Beaut’s)

Opportunities: Expanding the Toronto Businessphere team & capitalizing on the demand for creative Business Marketing using web content.
